PCMC has a metered water distribution system, but a severe lack of manpower and technology had been undermining the system and resulting in water theft, erroneous billing, unsystematic distribution and poor consumer service.
In the past three years we have overhauled the process and provided the tech and the resources to document all water meters in the city scanning a population of 14 lakh people every quarter.
The PCMC revenues have seen a 100% rise (18 Cr. to 36 Cr.) and the consumers now benefit from a transparent system with timely grievance redressal.
